There are only a couple hours left in my position as CAP Utah’s Policy Analyst, and my heart is heavy. I will very much miss this organization, and the people that work in it. The work I’ve done here has meant more to me than just simple responsibilities that came with a paycheck every two weeks; it has been a personal and fulfilling endeavor.
Life takes us in different directions due to different circumstances and changes we all go through. I am excited for this new direction of working with United Way of Salt Lake, an amazing organization in the community, but so thankful for the past almost two years here with CAP Utah. While I do leave today with a heavy heart I do have great hope for tomorrow. Not only for my new position, but also for the work CAP Utah does for the Community Action Agencies, and the broader low-income population in Utah.
Keep up the good work CAP Utah staff, and all the rest of the wonderful men and women working toward a Utah free of poverty. Thank you!
