Poverty in Utah is real. It doesn't have to be. Poverty takes many forms - from the day laborer to the family that struggles to make a mortgage payment. 11.7% of Utahns in the Six County Area live in poverty. 11.3% of Six County's children live in poverty. Our goal is to alleviate the effects of poverty for the nearly 9,000 people in our community who live with it every day.

Community Action Agencies are organizations established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America's War on Poverty. Utah has nine Community Action Agencies, Six County AOG houses the Community Action Agency that serves Juab, Millard, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier and Wayne Counties. Six County AOG's Community Services Department provides the support and resources families need to obtain self-sufficiency. Community Action Partnership of Utah works with these agencies to help people change their lives.
