When school lets out, many children who rely on meals provided by their school go hungry. The Summer Food Service Program ensures children have access to nutritious meals when school is not in session. In 2018, the Summer Food Service Program provided more than 1.5 million nutritious meals and snacks to children during the summer. The program provides free meals to children and teens 18 and younger. Most sites serve lunch, and some serve breakfast or dinner. No need to register – just show up!
Utahns Against Hunger is a wonderful resource for information about sites throughout the state. You can find information about hours, locations, and meals served at the different sites, as well as program flyers in both English and Spanish. Check them out.
