Oppose the Increase on the Sales Tax on Food!

The Utah Legislature is looking to increase the sales tax on food rate from 3 percent to 6.1 percent. An increased tax on food will hurt Utah's most vulnerable by adding an estimated $172 - $252 more a year to a family's grocery bill. Grocery taxes hurt the struggling seniors on fixed incomes, persons with disabilities, rural communities, and the working poor who live on the edge of poverty.

If you oppose the increase on the sales tax on food, sign Utahn's Against Hunger's petition below and let the Utah Legislature know the harmful impact the increase will have on low-income families in our community.
