You’re invited to join the Office for Older Americans on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 3:00 pm ET for a free webinar. Office for Older Americans staff will share highlights from our recently updated guide to help professionals who work with assisted living communities and nursing homes fight elder financial abuse, including how to recognize red flags, develop policies and protocols, train staff, and use technology to prevent financial abuse. The Executive Director of the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass will share best practices for how ombudsmen and long-term care communities can use the guide and work together to stop elder financial abuse.
This webinar is intended for stakeholders in the aging services field, including long-term care administrators and staff, long-term care ombudsmen, legal services attorneys, social workers, service coordinators, faith leaders, librarians, meal service providers, bank or credit union staff, law enforcement officers, and many others. We’ll end the webinar by taking questions from attendees. We hope to gain insights from those working in the aging services field.
Presenters:
• Kate Kramer, Policy Analyst – CFPB, Office for Older Americans
• Denise Wells, Executive Director – Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass
