NCAP - Excellence Peer Reviewer Training - Part 2
Ready to add “Excellence Peer Reviewer” to your catalogue of expertise and recognition in Community Action? Join NCAP’s Pathways to Excellence staff team for this two-part training and follow-up designation opportunity. The Excellence Peer Reviewer training will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Eastern on Wednesday, November 20th and Wednesday, December 4th.
Participants must attend both sessions to become eligible to serve as a Peer Reviewer and to earn the “Pathways to Excellence Peer Reviewer” designation.
Why Become a Peer Reviewer?
Current Peer Reviewers consistently report that their experience evaluating submissions from other agencies has helped them better understand how to guide their own agencies toward stronger commitments to excellence and recognition as an Agency of Excellence. Additionally Peer Reviewers tell NCAP that they learn new techniques and ideas when they read about how other CAAs are approaching the Standards of Excellence. Also consider this: when the Community Action Network engages in excellence, the ultimate beneficiaries are our customers. Accomplishing excellent results moves us closer towards mission achievement and benefits our entire Network.
Training Topics Will Include:
How to recognize the requirements of each of the Community Action Standards of Excellence
Understanding key terminology and how to spot “excellence” where it is happening
How to evaluate and score Pathways submissions in each of the program’s recognized tiers
How to write powerful, helpful feedback comments, and more!
Enrollment Fee
$449 per person, payable prior to November 20.
The Verified Pathways to Excellence Peer Reviewer Designation
Participants that attend the full 8 hours of training (four hours per day), are eligible to become a “Verified Pathways to Excellence Peer Reviewer” – a new, formal, professional designation from NCAP and the Excellence Commission. Additional information about how to earn the designation will be provided in the training session. (Note that current Peer Reviewers as well as individuals who completed Peer Reviewer training in the Fall of 2023 will also be eligible to earn the Verified Pathways to Excellence Peer Reviewer designation. NCAP will reach out with additional information soon!)
