NCAP - Putting Scenario Planning to Work for Weatherization
Scenario planning helps organizations prepare for a range of possible futures—best-case to worst-case—by focusing on high-impact, high-probability risks. With ongoing policy shifts, funding uncertainty, and unpredictable weather, this structured approach supports better decision-making and builds resilience in times of uncertainty. NCAP’s Scenario Planning Toolkit offers templates and guidance to assess financial, operational, and community impacts, and helps teams develop decision filters to guide responses. This session will provide a brief overview of scenario planning, highlight key resources and approaches from the Toolkit, and use peer discussion to explore how Weatherization program managers can apply scenario planning in their departments and in their organizations.
