Intro to ROMA Day 1
What is the Intro to ROMA Course:
Results Oriented Management and Accountability, or ROMA, is a performance-based management system used by the Community Action network nationwide. Using outcomes as its foundation, ROMA’s aims are continuous program improvement and accountability. Community Action is about identifying and addressing causes and conditions. ROMA helps us measure progress towards this. Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation (aka the ROMA Cycle) are at the core of ROMA.
The Intro to ROMA Course gives an overview of important ROMA topics, each building off of each other.
1. The History of Community Action
2. Agency Mission and Theory of Change
3. Community Assessments (including identifying Needs)
4. Introduction to Planning
5. Identifying Outcomes
6. Identifying Services
7. Measuring Performance and Performance Standards
8. Using Measurement Tools and Tracking Progress
9. Managing Performance with a Logic Model
There will be breakout rooms used for this training. Virtual attendees are required to have access to and use a microphone and camera for participation. A certificate of completion will be given to participants that meet the attendance and homework requirements. It is highly recommended to participate in an Intro to ROMA course at least once every two years.
For those with existing Intro to ROMA Manuals (they are Blue), registration is free. For those needing Manuals, registration is $10.00.
