NCAP - CAAs Advancing Social and Economic Mobility Through the Whole Family Approach
Since 2015, National Community Action Partnership has supported efforts and facilitated learning opportunities to build the Community Action Network’s capacity to develop and implement whole family approaches to increase the social and economic mobility of families. Whole Family Approaches build family well-being by intentionally and simultaneously working with children and the adults in their lives together. As children, parents, and families grow and change across their lifespan, the whole family approach aligns opportunities to help families achieve their version of the American dream. Providing integrated, high-quality, intentional supports to parents and children at the same time through a Whole Family Approach (WFA) has the potential to improve both parent and child social and economic well-being producing a legacy of family well-being that passes from one generation to the next.
