CFPB and FDIC America Saves Week Panel – Thursday, March 2, from 1:00 to 2:00 Eastern. Each year, America Saves Week is a call to action for helping more people save for emergencies and their financial goals. This virtual panel discussion will focus on IRS-certified free tax preparation as a saving opportunity and getting banked. CFPB panelists will present a range of resources that help consumers to file for free, set financial goals, and decide how much to save at tax time and at other points in the year. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will share #GetBanked, a campaign to get more people connected to bank accounts that offer direct deposit and have low (or no) fees and minimum balance requirements.
