The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade Program highlights six specific energy conservation and electrification steps consumers can take to maximize savings. Many, such as insulation, heat pumps, and smart thermostats, are common weatherization measures. EPA would like to discuss this program with WAP subgrantees to learn whether their promotional pathways, market research and educational materials could support Weatherization. Could shoppers in key zip codes be prompted to look into Weatherization before spending their own funds? Could ENERGY STAR literature, illustrations or videos help make client education more impactful?
