Heater Lester, Landlord Tenant mediator at Utah Community Action (AKA Salt Lake Community Action Partnership), was one of six Community Action Champions recognized for their work at the 2022 Region 8 Community Action Partnership Conference on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Champions came from Community Action Agencies throughout Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.
Heather has been instrumental in developing and expanding landlord tenant medication statewide, working with community partners and the other members of the statewide Community Action Network. Housing is essential and personal. Covid-19 created so many unexpected challenges for landlords, tenants, and case managers. Heather's mediation has impacted thousands of lives statewide.
