UNA - How to Grow as a Relationally Intelligent Leader

Thursday, January 23, 2025
10:00 am12:00 pm

Have you noticed how tough it’s been for nonprofits to fill positions lately? Almost 3 out of 4 nonprofits have job vacancies right now, and more than half say it’s even worse than before COVID-19. The big reasons? Salary competition, tight budgets, stress, and burnout. But underneath it all, there’s something deeper: the culture of the organization and how leaders connect with their teams. That’s where being ‘relationally intelligent’ comes in.

If you’re a leader, creating the kind of culture that keeps your team happy and sticking around starts with sharpening your relational intelligence. It’s all about understanding people, building trust, and creating a workplace where folks feel valued and supported.

This course is your toolkit. You’ll get a better sense of where your strengths are and where you could grow when it comes to connecting with your team. Plus, you’ll learn practical strategies to improve retention, starting with your hiring process. We’ll cover how to build a culture that attracts great people, respects their dignity, celebrates their individuality, and makes them want to stay. This course also dives into handling stress, preventing burnout, and tackling hard topics like ‘quiet quitting.’ This is the real-world stuff you can use to build a stronger, happier team.

Who Should Attend: Executive Directors/CEO's, Board of Directors, Managers, and anyone who aspires to be a more relationally intelligent leader.
